I got your swap right here.

It goes without saying that I collect video games. However, some of the stuff I have collected have fallen into the "Temporary Infatuation" category. When I now look back on this stuff I say "What was I thinking at the time?"

I was considering putting some of the stuff I want to get rid of on eBay, but I just found a site specifically for game trading: Goozex.

Here's how it works: you make a list of the games you want to trade for, and the games you want to trade with. The site automatically matches you up with a "buyer" and if you approve the trade you send the game out and earn points on the site. Once you've gotten a certain number of points, a game you want is matched with a "seller" and they sent you it in the mail. And the only costs to you are one dollar for each game received, plus whatever Canada Post gouges you for to send stuff out.

In the few hours that I've been a member, I've already got two buyers in Ontario and Maryland for stuff I wanted to get rid of. However, I've noticed two problems:

  1. No games for vintage systems like NES or Super NES.
  2. Downloadable titles from Xbox Live Arcade and Wii Virtual Console are listed. How can I send you those when all I have are zeros and ones?

But I think this site is a neat idea and I'll be sure to keep my lists going.
