I've setup a new moblog here. Flickr didn't seem to want to play with Movable Type anymore so random photos will be going here from now on.

Again, here's something you find funny once you've been working in a tax office for a while, and if you're an iPod user.
The Canada Revenue Agency has forms and publications in multiple formats for people with a visual impairment. They are available in Braille, E-text (on CD or 3 1/4" diskette), audio cassette, and large print. CRA now also has these forms available as MP3s. You can't download them, you have to request them.
My point is that you can now listen to tax guides on your iPod. Now that's thrilling listening. "Check it out, it's Big Playah Montgomery Flex's dub remix of CRA's T4056 Emigrants and Income Tax Guide! It really thumps!"
But I wonder, what items would be on a CRA auditor's iPod playlist?
Canada Revenue Agency: How Canadians pay their taxes
"The vast majority of Canadians prefer to pay their taxes through their financial institutions, electronic banking, or by cheque. Cash payments continue to decline and make up only 0.3% of all payments."
However, tax payment options like through the nose and up the wazoo remain popular.
CBC News: Air Canada adds pets to no-fly list
"As of next month, animals will no longer be allowed aboard any Air Canada flights."
But how will I bring my pet goldfish Osama on that one-way flight to New York we're planning?
"Japan gets all the interesting limited edition flavors. This time it's a limited edition Ice Cucumber flavored Pepsi."
driving.ca: Political race speeds up
"The Conservative Party has shifted its advertising strategy into a new gear and slapped the party logo on a NASCAR stock car."
Just wait to see if it crashes in a race. The pundits will be all over it.
"Live life like you're gonna die. Because you're gonna." - William Shatner
I got a fax from one of our clients at 11:42 AM today, according to the time stamp. It was a letter they got today from the That Which Must Be Named Program at 11:59 AM today.
Wait a sec, oh my... they got a fax... FROM! THE!! FUTURE!!!
Don't look at the penny, DON'T LOOK AT THE PENNY!
Or maybe I'm just overreacting with this over the top commentary on why people can't set the clocks on their fax machine right.
BBC NEWS: FBI tries to fight zombie hordes
The zombie uprising has finally come! Get your shotguns now before it's too late! I'd better read the rest of the article to see what nations have been lost..
"The FBI is contacting more than one million PC owners who have had their computers hijacked by cyber criminals."
..never mind.
Tomorrow I'll be leaving for Toronto and coming back on Tuesday. I'll be taking in a show at Luminato, Toronto's Festival of Arts and Creativity. I'll be seeing Eric Idle's "Not The Messiah", a comic oratorio inspired by Monty Python's Life of Brian. That morning I'll be going to the Royal Ontario Museum and it will be packed because they've finished building the crystal.
Further bulletins and tweets as events warrant.
